Keion Brooks Jr. scored 25 points, Braxton Meah had 10 points and 12 rebounds, and the visiting Washington Huskies beat the Colorado Buffaloes 75-72 in Boulder, Colo., on Thursday night.

Keyon Menifield also scored 10 points for Washington (12-8, 4-5 Pac-12 Conference).

Julian Hammond III had a career-high 18 points, Tristan da Silva scored 17 and KJ Simpson added 11 for Colorado (11-9, 3-6).

The Huskies led 33-26 at intermission and scored the first four points of the second half to lead 37-26. Colorado got within six on a jumper by da Silva with 15:48 left.

Washington answered quickly. Koren Johnson and Meah made buckets, and after a layup by Luke O'Brien, Brooks hit a jumper and a 3-pointer to give the Huskies a 48-35 lead.

The Buffaloes called a timeout and the break helped. Lawson Lovering hit a jumper and Colorado had a steal and layup on consecutive possessions to get within seven.

Noah Williams hit a 3-pointer out of a timeout but the Buffaloes scored five straight points to make it 51-45. The Huskies responded with a quick 7-2 run to push their advantage to double digits again.

Colorado clawed its way back into it and made it 60-54 on a free throw by Simpson with 5:23 left. Brooks stopped the run with a 3-pointer but a floater by Hammond and a steal and dunk got the Buffaloes within five.

Brooks hit a jumper and two free throws to extend the lead to eight with 3:11 left and answered free throws by Hammond with another field goal before Colorado rallied.

Simpson made a driving layup, Hammond stole the ball, Simpson drained a 3-pointer to make it 71-68, and Simpson had another steal but missed a tying 3-pointer.

The teams traded free throws and the Buffaloes got another steal with a minute left and called timeout.

Simpson cut the lead to one with a layup with 43 seconds left and had a chance for the lead after Washington's 22nd turnover, but Simpson's pass went out of bounds with six seconds left and Cole Bajema sealed it with two free throws.
