The Philadelphia Phillies acquired left-handed starting pitcher Tyler Anderson from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday in exchange for two second-tier prospects, multiple outlets reported.

The deal is pending physicals.

Anderson was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Phillies send minor league pitcher Cristian Hernandez and catcher Abrahan Gutierrez to the Pirates. Both are Low-A players. Hernandez ranks as Philly's No. 29-ranked prospect, per MLB Pipeline.

Anderson, 31, is 5-8 with a 4.35 ERA in 18 starts this season for Pittsburgh. He's 27-35 in 104 career games (100 starts) for the Colorado Rockies (2016-19), San Francisco Giants (2020) and Pirates.

The Mets were also reportedly in pursuit of Anderson, who has pitched into the sixth inning in 11 of his 18 starts.
