Boeing announces more job cuts
Colorado Springs News.Net Wednesday 19th November, 2008
Boeing has announced it will cut about 800 jobs from its defence unit in Wichita, Kansas.
The announcement means the facility in Kansas, which builds military planes, will lose one-quarter of its staff.
Boeing says the cuts will not affect International Tanker program customers Italy and Japan, who are awaiting delivery of their advanced aerial refueling tankers.
Flight testing of Italy's first advanced
tankers should be completed during the first quarter of 2009.
